The Dishington Wiki

Genealogy:

The Dishington family, also spelled Dischington, Disshington or Dischingtoun, is a family of Scottish noble origin. The first documented bearer of the Dishington name was Sir William Dishington, husband to Elizabeth Bruce, sister of King Robert the Bruce of Scotland and Queen Isabel Bruce of Norway. Their descendants would continue serving as Lords of Longhermiston and Ardross until 1607, when they sold their lands. From there, many Dishingtons moved all across the world, including Orkney, Shetland and Norway.
